Campaign Timeline

Free Year 1: Rikus, Sadira, Neeva (The Wise), Aegis and Tithian kill Kalak, Sorcerer-King of Tyr, which becomes the first free city.

Free Year 10: Some sorcerer-kings are destroyed in a combat against Rajaat, who was imprisoned again by Rikus, Sadira and others. The surviving sorcerer-kings are Hamanu (Urik), Nibenay (Nibenay) and Lalali-Puy (Gulg). It seems that Andropinis has also survived, although imprisoned in another plane.

At the end of this year, strange groups of muls, humans, elves and dwarves, with pale skins, are seen all through the Tablelands area. They're specially seen around Giustenal, Urik and Raam. They only watch, and seem to write reports of what they see.

Free Year 11: Sadira contacts Oronis, Sorcerer-King (now Avangion) of the lost city of Kurn. She also finds out about Daskinor, Sorcerer-king of Eldaarich. However, Oronis advises that he shouldn't be contacted, since he's extremely insane.

Free Year 12: Dregoth begins a massive attack against Raam, destroying all its defenses and capturing it. Besides his army or Drays, some pale men and humanoids wearing black are also in the attack force. Hamanu threats to destroy Dregoth if he spreads his attack beyond Raam. Dregoth returns to Giustenal's ruins, but leaves part of his Drays in Raam, under the command of the pale men.

Free Year 13: Hamanu leads Urik's army to Raam to fight the Drays and the Pale Men. For the first time in ages Urik's army lost a battle. An elf wielding two great axes and a mul with a greatsword seriously injure Hamanu, who could not use all his powers against them because they were a strange form of undead never heard before on Athas.

Also during this year, some months later, the other city states lost contact with Balic. No caravans come from there, and all caravans that head that direction are never heard from again.

When the year is getting to its end, Lalali-Puy sends some of her forces to find out if Balic was destroyed by giants. They find out that the city still stands and is very hectic, but completely closed to visitors. Around the city, one can see lots of giants' corpses.

Free Year 14: Hamanu convinces Lalali-Puy and Nibenay to join their forces to attack Raam. While on the way to battle, they find out that Draj was also taken by the Pale Men, but no Dray was seen. Before they have a chance to attack, the sky gets dark due to an out-of-time eclipse, and several dark dragons are seen flying in the distance. Since the force begin to show signs of unrest and even some fleeing, Hamanu, Lalali-Puy and Nibenay decide to fall back and conduct meetings during the rest of the year, trying to uncover what's going on. Spies are sent to Draj, Raam and Balic, but none of them return.

At the end of the year a small force of Pale Men attacks Tyr, doing some very good damage. This force is completely crushed, specially because of Sadira, Rikus, Neeva (The Wise) e Rkard, but also because of the new heroes Yubet and Werkem. However, a man wearing black escapes, disappearing instantly. Sadira thinks that he's some kind of Shadow Wizard, but Rkard thinks he's some kind of cleric, possibly from another world.

Free Year 15: after a third of the year has gone by without incidents, a huge army of Pale Men are seen in the middle of the desert only 20 km from Urik. This strange army has lots of soldiers, all of them wearing metal armor. But before the sun could fry them, a strange eclipse blocked it, and day turned into night. This army marched quickly to Urik, where they brought the gates and the walls down in three different spots. Hamanu commands his army personally, destroying lots of soldiers with his powers and combat skills. Dark dragons appear from nowhere and attack the city, stealing the strength from Urik's strongest fighters using their negative energy breaths.

Three individuals among the Pale Men may be instantly noticed by anyone looking to the combat: the mul and the half-elf that defeated Hamanu, and another mul, this one wearing a black full plate and wielding a magic steel impaler. His voice resembles a thunder when he identifies himself as Bezbok and orders Hamanu to bow to him. Of course, Hamanu attacks him with his psionic enchantments, but they have no effect. However, Bezbok's magic attack is able to hurt Hamanu, and both of them began a fight one-on-one. The skirmishes around them stop, and Rodrick and Anlashok kill anyone who comes closer.

After a furious fight, Bezbok is thrown away by a furious blow from Hamanu, destroying a part of the wall when he collides with it. Hamanu gets closer to deliver the coup de grace, and Bezbok touches one of Hamanu's feet, stealing his strength and making him fall to the ground. Then, Bezbok gets up and, effortlessly, rips Hamanu's head off, while his remains burn into charcoal. At  this moment, most Urikites surrender, and the other ones are killed.

Some time later in this same year, Lalali-Puy and Nibenay are seen at Tyr, talking outside the city with Sadira and Rikus. Some weeks later, Sadira, Rikus, Rkard and Neeva leave Tyr with an army to meet Nibenay's forces on the way to Urik. However, Lalali-Puy's forces are nowhere to be seen.

On their approaching march to Urik, Tyr's and Nibenay's soldiers are surpresed by a deep cold, and SNOW falls from the sky. Weakened by the cold and intimidated by another eclipse, they're surrounded by a force of Raszagalites (the Pale Men's real name) that came from Draj and Raam, attacking them from their flanks, while another force comes from Urik.

Tyr's and Nibenay's forces begin to withdraw, but their escape route is cut out by Dregoth and his Dray army, since they're also in league with Bezbok.

Nibenay is attacked by Rodrick and Anlashok and is forced to flee. Dregoth fights the heroes of Tyr, managing to kill Sadira (who didn't have her sun powers because the eclipse) but is severely wounded by Rikus. But at this very moment Anlashok and Rodrick attack and kill Rikus and Neeva (although both become badly hurt in the process). Rkard manages to escape, taking with him what remained of Tyr's army. This battle becomes known as "The Slaughter", because over 20.000 warriors were killed in a few hours. During all this combat, Bezbok was not seen, and Dregoth retires to Giustenal to recover from his wouds.

Free Year 16: Daskinor, Sorcerer King of Eldaarich, commands an army to Draj and sacks it. Then he goes to Raam, but this time he finds Bezbok's forces. Even without Anlashok, Bezbok or Rodrick, the city manages to defend itself. Then, Daskinor sieges the city for a month.

The last day of the siege is marked by the coming of lots of dark dragons that weaken those hit by their breaths, except for Daskinor, who kills three of them with his spells. However, he falls before Bezbok's own spells, paralized and then gutted by Bezbok himself. Daskinor forces return to Eldaarich, where they wait for an attack that never comes.

Free Year 18: at the beginning of the year, Nibenay already has his army almost back to what it was previously, when Bezbok, Anlashok and Rodrick appear inside his fortress together with a troop of his soldiers. Within a few minutes, the battle is over, and Bezbok appears on the balcony, his voice like thunder, holding Nibenay's head on one hand and his still beating heart on the other. He then devours the heart and announces that this was to be known as Raszagal Year 1. Nibenay's templars swear fealty to Bezbok, and convert themselves to the new religion.

Bezbok and his forces leave towards Gulg, where they're received with no hostilities by Lalali-Puy, who kneels in front of Bezbok and swears him loyalty.

Weeks later, a huge raszagalite force appears at Tyr's gates. The city surrenders without combat.

In the middle of the year, Bezbok's forces begin a campaign of exterminating the thri-kreens, eliminating every single one of them from all cities and villages under raszagalite domain. Patrols are formed to destroy them, and a huge force is assembled to attack the Kreen Empire in the Crimson Savannah.

Free Year 19/Raszagal Year 2: after almost a year of hostilities, with lots of dead thri-kreens but with a larger quantitiy of dead rszagalites, Bezbok's army retires to the entrance to the Crimson Savannah. Raszagalite clerics join Bezbok in a strange ritual that kills a huge number of thri-kreens, leaving the survivors sick and spreading a madning disease. Only a few are able to resist and hide. The army goes away, but Rodrick and a squad of his cannibal halfings trained outside Athas keeps hunting thri-kreens just for sport.

With Bezbok's return, Dregoth (now completely recovered) orders that the arenas must be opened and gladiatorial games must take place for a year to celebrate Bezbok's complete victory on Athas. He is then appointed governor of Athas before Bezbok leaves to conquer other worlds.

This is the time the campaign began.
