Player Characters

Coraanu

(male elf, Rogue/Psychic Warrior/Soul Knife)

(Player: Gustavo Torreti)

Son of Horrun Airhunter (most important Wind Singer of the Wind Dancer tribe) and Ekee Airhunter (a tribe preserver), Coraanu was only 13 years old when he got separated from his parents. This separation occurred when the tribe was surprised by a Gulg force when they were attacking a merchant house fort.

The combat was terrible, since the soldiers from Gulg had no mercy, and the elves were forced to retreat. Over a third of the tribe was killed, and those few who were captured were sold as slaves.

Corranu got lost during the combat, and was captured and sold as a slave to work on the obsidian mines of Urik. One there, he was "adopted" by a half-elf known only as Myron, who had some influence among the other slaves. When Myron was rescued by his friends of the Veiled Alliance, he took Coraanu with him.

Coraanu spent four years as a bodyguard to Veiled Alliance members in Urik, while at the same time trying to find some information on the whereabouts of his parents and his tribe. But he was troubled by what he found out: apparently, the actual leader of the tribe is a wizard, and possibly a defiler.

During one of his bodyguarding missions, he was captured and sent to the arena do die. But he found a group of adventurers that helped him get out of there, and he's riding with them ever since.

Garok

(male dwarf, Fighter/Weapon Devotee )

(Player: Héron Bambirra)

Born in a small village south of Kled, he was part of the warrior force that defended the city. During a raid against thri-kreens, he and some friends became separated from the main force and were later found and imprisioned by a merchant caravan from Gulg. They were sold as slaves but, after 3 years, they managed to flee to return to their village.

However, the village was destroyed. Since then, Garok and his fellows joined Sortar's Army, until they were captured by Urikite forces when they were raiding a Stel's caravan. Garok was the only survivor, and he was put to fight in the arena, but managed to once again escape, this time with help from some of the other convicts.

Herak

(male new race, Fighter/Cleric of the Earth/Warpriest)

(Player: Paulo Celso Sanvito)

Raised as a slave in Raam, Herak was left to die after a fierce battle where the army of Raam was defeated by the raszagalites. He was then found by the Wanderer, who trained him to become an earth cleric.

After years of adventuring, traveling the world as a free man, Herak found out about the Valley of the Cerulean Storm, where he went to find new adventures, and ended up joining a party of aventurers.

Krom

(male mul, Gladiator/Hunter of the Dead)

(Player: André Naseri)

Raised in a stable of House Stel, he was trained since his early days to be a gladiator. He never met his parents, because his mother died when giving birth to another mul years later, and his father had died in the arena a few months before Krom was born.

Krom always fought before the main fights, to get the crowd ready for the main attraction. The only thing that changed in his life during all those years was the friendship with a half-giant called Tah.

When Krom finally had a chance to become a main player in the arenas, he joined a band of adventurers who where fleeing from Urik.

Neeva

(female human, Preserver)

(Former Player: Marco Castro. Now, NPC)

Neeva's father was a caravaneer, working for one of Nibenay's merchant houses. He was loyal and very appreciated by the House's staff. But he had a secret: his wife was a preserver from  the Veiled Alliance, and she was teaching their daughter how to be a wizard.

On their last trip, the caravan was attacked by a tribe of giths, who killed her father and took her mother away. Neeva was left behind just because her father clubbed her in the head and hid her amidst the cargo before she could do someting stuppid (such as cast her spells).

Neeva was found unconscious and in the middle of the caravan's remains, and was "adopted" by a party of adventurers.

Omar

(aka, Nayev Xuddhal)

(male human, Psion [Shaper]/Constructor)

(Player: Renato Mendes)

Omar's story is at the same time simple and complicated. He was found in the middle of the desert by slaver caravan some years ago, wearing expensive clothes and with no memory of who he was and what he was doing there.

After 1 and a half years working as a slave (when he almost died), he got some of his memory back and, with it, some of his powers that he used to run away. Since his escape, he's calling himself "Omar" (although he doesn't know if it is really his true name).

Omar was travelling through the desert to find an organization called "The Order", since he was told that they were the only ones who could bring his memory back to him. However, he was attacked by a Nightmare Beast, and would have been killed if a group of adventurers hadn't found him and killed the beast. Since them, Omar is riding with them, helping them  on their mission because they promised him that once it was over they would help him find The Order.

Omar keeps a log of his adventures carved in a Nightmare Beast's femur bone. He calls it "Tales from the Bone".

Roux

(male halfling, Cleric of Fire/Elemental Paladin)

(Player: Jean Pierre Ciriades)

On Free Year 3, when there was a new call for halflings of Ogo to go serve king Hamanu of Urik, Roux was one of the volunteers, sine his own king, Urga-Zoltapl, had promessed that those who would go would know the world and taste new flesh. Roux had served for 3 of the 5 years he was supposed to remain in the service of Urik when Bezbok invaded Athas.

Since the fall of Hamanu, Roux and his surviving friends were working as "terrorists", attacking the raszagalites every time they could. During one of these attacks, Roux and most of his halfling companions were captured and put to fight in the arena. However, the remaining halflings managed to free him, and he ran away together with a band of former slaves and convicts.
